CODICAP is a sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) belonging to the category of simple hybrids with a late maturity period. It is characterized by high oil content, making it attractive for oil production. The plant distinguishes itself with high seed yield, reaching an average of 25.6 and 19.0 centners per hectare in the Central-Black Earth and Lower Volga regions respectively, while the fat content in seeds meets the standard, and oil collection exceeds the standard level by 1.4 centners per hectare. CODICAP is intended for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth and Lower Volga regions, confirming its adaptability to these climatic conditions.

The hybrid is distinguished by its resistance to downy mildew (A-D) and drought resistance, which increases its reliability under unfavorable weather conditions. The plant has an average height without branching, with light green leaves and weak blistering. The upper part of the stem is covered with strong pubescence. The flowers are ray florets of a narrow egg-shaped yellow color, and tubular flowers are orange without anthocyanin discoloration of the stigmas. The head is semi-down-turned, of medium size with a strongly convex seed side. The seeds are of medium size, of a narrow egg-shaped form, with a basic black coloration and pronounced marginal stripes.

CODICAP demonstrates high productivity and oil quality, with fat content in seeds reaching up to 55.5%. The maximum yield recorded in the Krasnodar Krai was 38.5 centners per hectare. The hybrid is suitable for classical cultivation technology and is a reliable choice for producers focused on obtaining a high yield of oilseed product.
