ES EPIC

Sunflower ES EPIC is a mid-early high-oleic hybrid developed by French breeders of the company Lideas (Euralis). It is adapted for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie zones. The hybrid is characterized by high yield, averaging 42.9 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds reaching 48-50%, and oleic acid content of 90-91%, making it particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil with improved properties.

ES EPIC exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests, including aggressive strains of downy mildew (tolerance >G) due to genetic protection OR Master Premium®. The hybrid demonstrates excellent tolerance to diseases such as Phomopsis, stem and basket sclerotinia, rust, verticillium wilt, and false powdery mildew, ensuring stable yields even under adverse agroclimatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 165-175 cm and have a slanted head with a diameter of 20-22 cm, which facilitates effective maturation and harvest.

It is recommended to cultivate ES EPIC using moderately intensive technology with a seeding rate of 45-50 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture and 50-55 thousand under adequate moisture. The hybrid is characterized by good initial growth energy, high drought tolerance, and lodging resistance, which simplifies agronomic operations and increases economic efficiency of production. All these qualities make ES EPIC a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a high-quality and stable sunflower yield.
