ES MEGAPOLIS CLP — medium-early sunflower hybrid developed using Clearfield Plus technology, providing effective weed control and high yield. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in moderate climate zones of Polissia, Northern Steppe, and Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, showing stable performance across various agroclimatic zones. The vegetation period is approximately 106-110 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully compete with other medium-early varieties.

This sunflower belongs to the high-olein type, with oil content in seeds ranging from 48 to 51%, of which 90-91% is oleic acid. This makes ES MEGAPOLIS CLP attractive for producing high-quality oil with improved technological and nutritional properties. The hybrid exhibits strong initial growth energy, promoting rapid plant development and formation of a robust root system.

ES MEGAPOLIS CLP demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fomopsis, sclerotinia, rust, and verticillium, as well as to sunflower downy mildew (Rasam G and OR Master Essential®). Additionally, the hybrid is drought- and lodging-resistant, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture: 45-50 thousand plants per hectare under low moisture, and 50-65 thousand under adequate moisture, enabling optimal resource use and increased production efficiency.
