ES JANIS

The hybrid sunflower ES JANIS from the company Euralis is a medium-early, intensive variety with a vegetative period of about 107 days. It is characterized by high adaptability to various climatic conditions, including drought and high temperatures, making it especially valuable for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 150-155 cm, and the head diameter is 22-24 cm, with the head positioned slightly downward.

ES JANIS has high yield potential and high oil content in seeds — 46-47%, making it a high-oleic hybrid. It is resistant to 7 strains of flea beetles (A-G), and also demonstrates high resistance to Phomopsis and other diseases, ensuring reliable crop protection. The hybrid is recommended for use in Clearfield® Plus technology, which allows effective weed control using herbicides containing imazamox and imazapyr.

For optimal growth and protection of ES JANIS, fertilizers containing boron and nitrogen should be applied during the 4-6 true leaf stage. Effective disease control agents are based on carbendazim, while insecticides containing imidacloprid and lambda-cyhalothrin are suitable for pest control. Sowing rates vary by region: 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare in the Southern Steppe, and 55-60 thousand in the Forest-Steppe. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance, the hybrid ES JANIS is a reliable choice for obtaining high-quality sunflower yields.
