Phenomenon sunflower is a mid-season, high-oleic hybrid of moderate-intensity type, developed for traditional cultivation methods in forest-steppe, central, and northern steppe regions. The vegetation period is 109-113 days, ensuring optimal maturation under various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm with medium-thick heads, promoting resistance to stem lodging and good pollination.

The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance and is adapted to areas where downy mildew is prevalent, including resistance to 7 races of this pathogen. It also shows tolerance to major sunflower diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomoz, sclerotinia, false powdery mildew, rust, and downy mildew. Thanks to these qualities, Phenomenon ensures a stable yield potential of up to 5.5 tons per hectare under proper agronomic practices.

The oil content of seeds is high — 51-53%, with oleic acid content up to 86%, making this hybrid particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture levels and region: from 35-45 thousand plants per hectare under low moisture conditions to 55-60 thousand in forest-steppe zones. The huskiness rate is 20-22%, facilitating harvest processing. All these characteristics make sunflower Phenomenon a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality yields under diverse conditions.
