Kirasun SU

Sunflower Kirasun SU is an ultra-early and low-growing hybrid with a vegetative period of about 80 days, enabling harvest within a short time frame. This variety exhibits resistance to five strains of downy mildew (A-E) and can withstand frost down to -7°C, making it especially suitable for cultivation in northern regions with a frost-free period of at least 110 days. The latest recommended sowing date is July 20, providing flexibility in agronomic practices. Seeds are treated with a complex of fungicides, including thiophanate-methyl, thiabendazole, and metalaxyl-M, enhancing protection against diseases and promoting successful germination.

The hybrid Kirasun SU demonstrates a yield potential of 20–30 centners per hectare under conventional cultivation methods. The low plant stature simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of lodging, positively impacting both the quality and quantity of the harvest. The seed weight per unit is 8.7 kg, facilitating planning of sowing operations and calculation of seeding rates.
