Description
Leyila hybrid sunflower is a high-quality French selection designed for cultivation using conventional technology. It is distinguished by high yield stability and quality, as well as significant seed yield potential. The seeds of this hybrid have good oil content, making it attractive for oil production. Recommended cultivation zones include the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, where the hybrid demonstrates its best performance.
One of the key advantages of the Leyila hybrid is its genetic resistance to ragweed and false powdery mildew, providing protection against common sunflower diseases. The hybrid also exhibits high drought tolerance and adaptability, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Thanks to these properties, Leyila can yield consistently even in areas with high levels of ragweed infestation, often without requiring additional protective measures.
The maturation period of the hybrid is 105-110 days, with maximum yields reaching approximately 53 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. In drier regions, the expected yield is 25-27 centners per hectare. To achieve optimal results, it is essential to follow the recommended planting density: 55,000 plants per hectare for southern-eastern regions and 60-65,000 plants per hectare for central and northwestern areas. This approach ensures effective utilization of the hybrid’s potential and contributes to obtaining high-quality yields.
