LG 5415

The LG 5415 sunflower is a mid-early hybrid developed by Limagrain, characterized by high yield and adaptability to various soil-climate conditions. The hybrid performs well under intensive cultivation techniques and maintains stable yields even under insufficient moisture and drought conditions, making it particularly suitable for the forest-steppe and steppe regions of Ukraine. Due to its flexibility in sowing timing, LG 5415 can be successfully grown both early and late, expanding farmers’ options for planning their sowing campaigns.

One of the key advantages of this hybrid is its high resistance to diseases and stress factors. LG 5415 possesses genetic resistance to aggressive races of downy mildew A-G, as well as to new races of false powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates good drought tolerance, allowing it to be grown under heat and water deficiency without reducing growth rates or seed quality.

The LG 5415 hybrid is distinguished by its high oil content, making it attractive for processing. The average plant height is about 160 cm, thousand seed mass is 72 g, and the flower head diameter reaches 16 cm. Early field clearance after harvest allows efficient use of soil for subsequent crops, such as winter wheat.
