LG 5590 Sunflower is a medium-early hybrid developed by Limagrain, characterized by high yield up to 50 centners per hectare and adapted for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The plant reaches a height of about 155 cm, and the head diameter is approximately 16.5 cm. The hybrid exhibits good plasticity, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions across the country, ensuring stable yield even under stress factors.

One of the key features of LG 5590 is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as Phomopsis, white mold, rust, and sclerotinia, as well as tolerance to lodging and good cold resistance. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with insufficient moisture. The seeds are characterized by a medium maturity group, allowing timely harvest.

To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to carefully prepare the seed material by treating it with insecticide and growth stimulator. Sowing should be conducted in warmed and moist soil at a depth of 4–6 cm with an optimal density of 50–55 thousand plants per hectare. During the vegetative period, microelements should be applied to ensure complete plant nutrition. Proper adjustment of the seeder and field preparation, including removal of plant residues and creation of a fine, crumbly soil structure for effective herbicide action, are also important.
