Hybrid sunflower LG50505 is a mid-early variety with a maturity period of about 118 days, allowing it to be effectively utilized in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including southern regions. The plant is medium-height, reaching 145 to 155 cm, with a flat and strongly convex head of about 16 cm in diameter. The 1000-seed mass varies from 70 to 73 grams, indicating the hybrid's large-seed character.

LG50505 exhibits high drought resistance, making it particularly valuable for cultivation under conditions of insufficient moisture. The recommended planting density is 45-55 thousand plants per hectare, depending on soil moisture levels. The hybrid demonstrates high yield potential of up to 5 tons per hectare (50 centners per hectare) and oil content in the seeds at 50.5%, ensuring high economic efficiency in oilseed production.

Special attention is given to the hybrid's resistance to diseases and pests. LG50505 is resistant to 7 races of downy mildew (Peronospora) types A-G, as well as tolerant to major sunflower diseases, including various types of rots (white, gray, dry), fusarium, and phomopsis. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to new races of false powdery mildew, ensuring stable yields and seed quality under adverse conditions.
