Description
Sunflower LG5382 is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid specifically developed for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine. It features high initial growth energy and excellent plasticity, ensuring good adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions. Plants are medium-height, reaching approximately 155 cm, with a flat head of about 15.8 cm in diameter. The 1000-seed weight is 72 grams, indicating large and high-quality seeds. The hybrid belongs to the linoleic type and is characterized by high oil content, making it attractive for oilseed industry.
One of the key features of LG5382 is its high drought resistance, which is especially important for regions with insufficient moisture. The hybrid is genetically resistant to new races of downy mildew (downy mildew) designated from A to G+, as well as to false powdery mildew. Additionally, it shows resistance to a range of diseases, including root and head rot, phomopsis, anthracnose, and dry rot, as well as phomosis. This comprehensive resistance significantly reduces the risk of crop losses and enhances production stability.
The cultivation technology for LG5382 is conventional, with recommended planting density varying according to moisture levels: up to 55,000 plants per hectare under sufficient moisture and 45–50,000 plants per hectare under insufficient moisture. The hybrid yields up to 4.5 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity. Due to its combination of stress and disease resistance, as well as high oil content, LG5382 is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower crop.
