Description
LLUCIUS sunflower is a mid-season hybrid with a maturity period of about 110-115 days, characterized by high yield and resistance to various adverse factors. It exhibits tolerance to new strains of false powdery mildew, downy mildew (strains A-G), and rust (strains A-F), ensuring stable plant development and protection under challenging climatic conditions. The hybrid is also resistant to diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomoid, and white mold of the head, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.
One of the key features of LLUCIUS is its high oil content in seeds, reaching 52-56%, with a high level of oleic acid — approximately 90%. This makes the hybrid particularly valuable for producing high-oleic oil, which has improved quality characteristics and market demand. Due to its drought tolerance, lodging resistance, and stress tolerance, sunflower is well-adapted for cultivation in areas with varying moisture levels, including medium and low-moisture regions.
Agronomic recommendations include optimal planting density, which varies depending on the cultivation zone: from 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered areas to 50-55 thousand in low-moisture zones. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units, allowing sowing of approximately 2.2-2.5 hectares. The LLUCIUS hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield even under challenging climatic conditions.
