Sunflower M96CL02 is a mid-early hybrid developed for cultivation using Clearfield technology with innovative SmartOR solutions. This hybrid exhibits high resistance to eight races of downy mildew (races A-N) and to all races of ragweed, providing reliable protection against weeds. Additionally, M96CL02 shows high tolerance to false powdery mildew (peronosporosis) and other diseases typical for sunflower, which contributes to stable crop development and reduced yield losses.

Plants reach a height of 165-170 cm and have a vegetation period of 100-105 days, with flowering beginning on day 53-56. The hybrid features high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 52% — making it attractive to the oil processing industry. M96CL02 adapts well to various soil-climatic conditions, including steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine, and maintains stable yields on all soil types. The declared yield potential is approximately 40 centners per hectare.

The hybrid is resistant to lodging and shattering, which facilitates harvest and reduces losses during collection. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture availability: 45-50 thousand plants per hectare under low moisture and 50-55 thousand under adequate moisture.
