With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, Maximus fits the early-maturing segment. The hybrid exhibits a compact growth habit, standing between 90 and 110 cm tall. This height optimization is critical for lodging resistance during adverse weather conditions and streamlines mechanized harvesting logistics. By concentrating energy into the sunflower head rather than biomass, the hybrid maintains a high oil content consistency.

Phytosanitary Resilience

The institute’s breeding focus emphasizes internal biological defense systems. Maximus possesses inherent genetic resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora) and powdery mildew. This reduces the dependency on frequent fungicidal applications, lowering the total cost of production while maintaining yield health under humid conditions.
