Description
MAS 83OL is a high-oleic mid-early sunflower hybrid, distinguished by high seed oil content and stable yield. The vegetative period is 108-113 days, enabling the hybrid to successfully adapt to various agroclimatic conditions. Plants are low-growing, with convex and moderately inclined heads, and 1000 seed mass ranges from 49 to 55 grams. Oil content in seeds reaches 50-52%, with oleic acid levels in the range of 82-87%, making this hybrid especially valuable for producing high-quality oil.
The MAS 83OL hybrid demonstrates high resistance to stress factors and diseases. It has high drought tolerance (rating 9), resistance to lodging (rating 8), and resistance to downy mildew (rating 5, A-E). It also shows good tolerance to common sunflower diseases such as false powdery mildew (RM9), Phomopsis, and stem and head rot (rating 7). These characteristics ensure excellent plant phytosanitary status and stable yields even under adverse conditions.
Recommended growing zones for the MAS 83OL hybrid include the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine. For optimal growth and maximum yield, seed density should be 60-65 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and approximately 55 thousand under unstable moisture conditions. High yield potential reaches 50 centners per hectare, making MAS 83OL an attractive choice for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality, high-oil sunflower crops.
