MAS 918CP

Sunflower MAS 918CP is a medium-early hybrid with a vegetation period of 108-112 days, characterized by high yield and adapted to various climatic conditions in Ukraine, including the Forest-Steppe and Steppe. This hybrid features high plant vigor, rapidly closes row spacing, and actively accumulates vegetative mass up to the four-leaf stage. Plant height ranges from 145 to 185 cm, and the flower head is strongly convex, promoting effective yield formation. MAS 918CP exhibits high drought resistance, confirmed by successful harvests even under rainless conditions, with yields reaching up to 34 c/ha across various regions of the country.

The MAS 918CP hybrid is genetically resistant to seven races of the sunflower moth parasite, enabling the use of the EuroLightning Plus technology for crop protection and reducing herbicide load. It is recommended to grow this hybrid on fields free from aggressive races of the sunflower moth above level E, ensuring reliable protection and stable yield. Additionally, MAS 918CP shows high resistance to common sunflower diseases such as false powdery mildew, Phomopsis, sclerotinia, and rust, further enhancing its reliability across various agroclimatic conditions.

One of the key features of the hybrid is its high oil content in seeds, consistently reaching 49-50%, significantly increasing economic efficiency. The 1000-seed mass is 50-60 grams, indicating seed size and quality. The recommended planting density at harvest time is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units, sufficient for sowing 2.2-2.5 hectares, and are treated with AGROSTART and PONCHO D150 for improved germination and protection.
