Description
Sunflower MAS 94C is a high-yielding hybrid with linoleic oil type and mid-late maturity, taking 115-118 days to ripen. The plant is characterized by high height and a flat, slightly inclined head. The 1000-seed weight ranges from 60 to 65 grams, and oil content reaches 45-48%, making this hybrid particularly valuable for producing high-quality sunflower oil.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew (RM9), Phomopsis (8 points), as well as sclerotinia of head and stem (7 points each). In addition, MAS 94C demonstrates excellent drought and lodging tolerance, rated 8 out of 10, ensuring stable productivity even under variable moisture conditions. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is dual protection against the sunflower moth (type G), as well as advantages of Clearfield® Plus technology, contributing to effective weed control.
Recommended planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 50-55 thousand under unstable conditions. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones, oriented towards oilseed usage. Although the hybrid was registered in 2008 and subsequently withdrawn from production, its agronomic characteristics and high yield make it an attractive choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
