Description
Sunflower NS H 26749 is a high-yielding, early maturing hybrid developed by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad (Serbia) in cooperation with LLC AF "Ukrainian Seeds". This hybrid has a vegetation period of 100-102 days and plant height ranging from 160 to 180 cm. It is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Forest Steppe, Central Steppe, as well as the Southern and Dry Steppe, making it a universal solution for farmers in these regions.
Hybrid NS H 26749 exhibits high resistance to a broad spectrum of fungal diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, Phomopsis, Phomoz, Alternaria, and sunflower moth. Special attention should be paid to its resistance to all races of downy mildew (Peronospora) from A to G, which significantly reduces the risk of yield losses. Thanks to these qualities, the plant develops properly and maintains high yield even under extreme growing conditions.
The oil content in the seeds of sunflower NS H 26749 is 49-52%, ensuring high value for processing. The genetic productivity of the hybrid reaches 50 centners per hectare under optimal cultivation technology, including the application of complex fertilizers. The recommended plant population varies depending on the region: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest Steppe, 45-48 thousand in the Central Steppe, and 40-45 thousand plants per hectare in the Southern and Dry Steppe.
