A key feature of this simple hybrid is the combination of classic Serbian genetics and the modern Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) protection technology.

Biological Potential and Vegetation Parameters

A vegetation period of 100–110 days classifies the NS H 494 as an early-maturing hybrid, which is a critical factor for regions prone to early drought. The moderate plant height (160–170 cm) minimizes lodging risks, while the convex shape of the medium-sized head facilitates uniform grain filling. Oil content falls within the 45–50% range, ensuring strong market profitability with proper agronomic management.

Phytopathological Protection

The breeding strategy was built on a comprehensive defense against the most harmful pathogens. The hybrid demonstrates robust resistance to the following threats:
