Description
NS H 6009 is a mid-season simple sunflower hybrid developed using Clearfield technology, which ensures its tolerance to herbicides from the imidazolinone group. The vegetative period ranges from 106 to 114 days, and plant height varies between 140-170 cm depending on agro-ecological conditions. The plant is characterized by the absence of branching, medium foliage, and a powerful root system capable of utilizing moisture from deep soil layers. The head is semi-downward-facing, with a diameter of 20-24 cm, fully filled, and seeds have an elongated narrow-oval shape with a black color. The mass of 1000 seeds is 60-70 g.
Hybrid NS H 6009 exhibits high drought resistance and genetic resistance to a wide spectrum of diseases and pests, including all races of sunflower stem rust (A-H), downy mildew, phoma, brown rust, and sunflower moth. Due to the presence of the Pl6 gene, it effectively resists downy mildew and also shows high tolerance to phoma and rust. For chemical protection against sunflower stem rust and broad-leaved weeds, the use of the herbicide Eurorayning is recommended.
NS H 6009 is intended for the production of linoleic oil with a high oil content in seeds — from 42 to 48%, which makes it attractive for the oil industry. The hybrid is characterized by high pollen and nectar productivity, which contributes to attracting pollinators and improving yield. The potential seed yield exceeds 40 c/ha, and in the Central Black Earth region, the average yield reaches 24.6 c/ha. Recommended growing regions include the Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Lower Volga regions.
