SUNFLOWER OLEG is a late-maturing classic hybrid of Helianthus annuus L. The plant is of medium height without branching, featuring medium-sized green leaves with medium to strong blistering and toothiness ranging from medium to large. The ligules are yellow and narrowly ovate, while the tubular flowers are also yellow with anthocyanin discoloration on the stigmas. The head varies from small to medium, semi-downward-facing, with a straight stem and a slightly convex seed side. The seed is narrowly ovate, of medium thickness, primarily black in color, with stripes absent or weakly expressed. Hybrid OLEG is characterized by high yield and high oil content in seeds. Average seed yield in various regions is about 31.4 c/ha, while under certain conditions, yield reached 40.7 c/ha. Oil content in seeds varies from 47.4% to 50.6%, exceeding standard indicators, with oil collection consistently above average, ranging from 10.4 to 14.8 c/ha. The hybrid exhibits good stability and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Sunflower OLEG is suitable for cultivation with the herbicide Gramoxone, facilitating crop care and enhancing the effectiveness of agronomic measures. Despite high indicators, the hybrid is not resistant to dodder, which should be considered when planning crop rotation and plant protection.
