P 64 LE 99 is a mid-season simple sunflower hybrid of the linoleic type, intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones. The vegetation period ranges from 116 to 125 days, with flowering and maturation lasting about 49 days. Plants reach a height of approximately 180 cm, with heads that are flat and evenly filled. The mass of 1000 seeds is approximately 63 grams, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 52%, ensuring high product quality. The yield potential of the hybrid reaches 52 centners per hectare, making it attractive for intensive farming. The hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to various diseases, including new races of downy mildew, white rot of stems and heads, fomopsis, verticillium, and petiole wilt. Special attention is paid to tolerance to root-knot nematode (cyst nematode) of five races (A-E) when using the System II technology, which significantly reduces the risk of crop loss. Moreover, P 64 LE 99 demonstrates excellent drought resistance, allowing for successful cultivation under insufficient moisture conditions. The hybrid is also characterized by a powerful root system, ensuring good resistance to lodging and a low shattering index of the head. For seedling protection, the use of herbicide Express® 75 WG with a maximum single dose of 50 g/ha is recommended. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on growing conditions: under unfavorable conditions - 45-50 thousand plants per hectare, under favorable conditions - 50-55 thousand. All these characteristics make P 64 LE 99 a reliable and productive choice for farmers seeking to obtain high-quality sunflower yields under various climatic conditions.
