Description
P 64 LP 140 — a mid-season sunflower hybrid with a vegetative period of about 118-121 days. Plants have medium height and are characterized by high oil content with oil content in seeds around 55.7%. The hybrid belongs to the herbicide-tolerant type of sunflower and is intended for cultivation using the ClearField Plus technology, which allows effective weed control using specialized herbicides.
This hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including rust and new strains of downy mildew, as well as moderate tolerance to stem and head diseases. Special attention is given to resistance to seven strains of sunflower moth (A-G), making P 64 LP 140 a reliable choice for regions where this pest is widely distributed. The hybrid is well adapted to cultivation in dry, hot steppe climates.
P 64 LP 140 demonstrates high yield, reaching an average of 13.1 centners per hectare in the Ural region, with maximum yields up to 16.5 centners per hectare. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 30.7 g. Seeds are treated with a seed protectant and are supplied in bagged units of 150,000 seeds. The hybrid is suitable for sowing at optimal density depending on the moisture zone and features high oil content, ensuring oil harvests of up to 4.8 centners per hectare.
