Description
Sunflower P63LE166 is an early-maturing linoleic hybrid developed by Pioneer specifically for the ExpressSun® technology, which enables effective use of the herbicide Granstar. This hybrid features high yield potential and medium plant height, making it a versatile solution for various agroclimatic conditions. It is adapted for cultivation in all regions, including areas with insufficient moisture, due to its drought resistance.
One of the key features of P63LE166 is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases. The hybrid shows resistance to Phomopsis, white mold of head and stem, verticillium wilt, leaf wilting, and downy mildew (LBR). Additionally, it is resistant to sunflower flea beetle races A–E and System II, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. For successful cultivation, avoid fields infested with flea beetle races G and higher; if unavoidable, apply appropriate fungicide protection.
Recommended agronomic practices include optimal planting density: plant 50–55 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture, and 45–50 thousand under insufficient moisture. The maximum application rate of Express 75 g/ha is 50 grams per hectare. This approach ensures a stable and high yield, as well as effective protection of crops against weeds and diseases, making P63LE166 a reliable choice for modern agricultural producers.
