PEARLY

PEARLY is a mid-early hybrid of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) intended for cultivation in regions with the climatic conditions of the Lower Volga region, in particular in the Volgograd region. The plant is characterized by high height at maturity, lack of branching, and green leaf coloration with moderate blistering. The ligulate florets have a yellow color, while the seeds differ in having weakly expressed marginal stripes, which gives them a neat appearance. The first-generation hybrid demonstrates stable seed yield, which makes it attractive for agricultural production. To improve plant productivity and health, the use of a long-acting liquid organic-mineral complex containing nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, calcium, boron, and other trace elements is recommended. This complex stimulates the development of sunflower in the early stages, prevents chlorosis, activates photosynthesis, and enhances plant immunity, reducing the risk of fungal diseases. This ensures an increase in vegetative mass, full formation of the head, and quality seed maturation, which contributes to increased overall yield. Additionally, there is a decorative variety of sunflower obtained as a result of crossing a dwarf sample with the VIR721 line, which is distinguished by light yellow ligulate florets and light green leaves with a bluish tint. This variety is characterized by dwarfism and a compact single-head habitus, which makes it ideal for use in landscape design and decorative greening.
