The 100–110 day vegetation period allows for precise harvesting scheduling, avoiding the typical late-season rain risks. Since it is a simple hybrid, seed emergence is uniform, which makes header adjustment at harvest time straightforward and stress-free for the operator.

Disease Resistance and Crop Protection

The standout feature of this hybrid is its built-in resilience. The resistance to white rot and downy mildew is not just marketing—it leads to a tangible reduction in fungicide costs. It handles phomopsis and phoma effectively, keeping the heads clean even in humid conditions. The integration with the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) technology is a massive advantage, as it allows us to control weeds chemically, eliminating the need for extra inter-row cultivation and saving fuel and machinery hours.

Harvesting Efficiency

The head of the PS 644 is large and slightly convex, which makes it very convenient to thresh with minimal losses when the combine is set correctly. The oil content of 45–50% is consistently high, meeting elevator standards without any issues. In our experience, this hybrid is designed for those who prioritize field stability and want to minimize risks related to diseases and heavy weed pressure.
