The core of Ravelin's endurance lies in its targeted resistance against common fungal pathogens, specifically rust, phomopsis, and various rot diseases. By limiting the host-pathogen interaction at the genetic level, this hybrid maintains structural integrity during the critical grain-filling period, even under high disease pressure, which significantly reduces the dependency on intensive fungicide programs.

Clearfield System Compatibility

Ravelin is engineered to be fully compatible with the Clearfield (Euro-Lighting) technology. This herbicide tolerance is a fundamental asset for modern farming, allowing for systemic control of competitive weeds and broomrape without damaging the crop. This technological integration ensures that the sunflower reaches its physiological potential by eliminating resource competition in the early growth stages.

Key Growth and Quality Metrics

The hybrid operates within a 100–110 day vegetation window, placing it in the medium-early maturity group. This timing is critical for operational planning and harvest scheduling. The plant reaches a height of 160–200 cm, ensuring optimal biomass development. With an oil content ranging from 45% to 50%, Ravelin meets high industrial standards, providing a premium-grade yield suitable for diverse market requirements.
