Plant height varies from low to high depending on the growing region, with no branching and medium leaf pubescence. Seeds have an extra-fraction with weak marginal stripes.
The RUSTICA 223 hybrid is distinguished by high yield and oil content. In the Middle Volga region, average yield reaches 28.4 c/ha, maximum — 40.6 c/ha, with oil content around 51.3% and oil harvest up to 17.1 c/ha. In the Forest Steppe and Polесьe regions, yield is 4.0-4.6 t/ha with oil content of 48-50%. The hybrid belongs to the linoleic type and exhibits strong initial growth vigor.
A distinctive feature of RUSTICA 223 is its high resistance to diseases, including basket sclerotinia, rust, and verticillium, as well as resistance to the sunflower moth (strains A-G).
