SG 50

SG 50 is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid with medium maturity, suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and north-steppe regions. Plants reach an average height of about 175 cm, with a flower head diameter of approximately 17 cm and a 1000-seed weight of about 74 g. The hybrid is characterized by high oil content and provides a high oil yield, making it attractive for farmers focused on quality harvests.

One of the key features of SG 50 is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, rust, and downy mildew (up to 7+ races A-G). The hybrid also shows tolerance to herbicides such as Granstar and Express, facilitating weed control and maintaining crop health. Thanks to its genetic resistance to new disease races and high drought tolerance, SG 50 demonstrates stable productivity even under suboptimal moisture conditions.

The hybrid exhibits high germination energy and early growth vigor, along with uniform plant height, flowering, and maturity periods, simplifying agronomic practices and harvest operations. The recommended planting rate varies from 45 to 55 thousand seeds per hectare, depending on soil moisture levels. Due to its adaptability and comprehensive resistance to adverse factors, SG 50 is a reliable choice for intensive and sustainable sunflower production across various regions of Ukraine.
