SRF 55

SRF 55 is a high-oleic sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including southern regions with hot climates. The hybrid belongs to the group of early or early-maturing varieties, with a vegetation period of 101 to 112 days, which allows obtaining a harvest with full maturity within optimal terms. Plants reach a height of 167 to 180 cm, and the head diameter is 22-24 cm, contributing to high yield and seed quality. Oil content in seeds reaches 49-50%, while the oleic acid content is 88-89%, making the oil particularly valuable for the food industry.

The hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to a wide range of diseases and stress factors. It shows tolerance to seven races of Helminthosporium, and is also resistant to Phoma, Sclerotinia of the head and stem, rust, downy mildew, and other common sunflower diseases. Due to the homozygous type of resistance to the active substance tribenuron-methyl, SRF 55 can be effectively protected with the herbicide Express, which ensures reliable protection against weeds without harm to the crop.

The hybrid adapts well to various cultivation conditions, including moderately intensive and arid regions. It demonstrates high resistance to drought and stem brittleness, which reduces crop losses under unfavorable weather conditions. The recommended sowing density varies depending on soil moisture and ranges from 50 to 60 thousand plants per hectare.
