Description
Sunflower SUBEO is a high-oleic hybrid with medium maturity, developed by Syngenta. It is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and northern steppe zones, demonstrating high yield and stability under various climatic conditions. Oil content in seeds reaches 51-53%, with oleic acid level of 87-89%, making this hybrid particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including phomopsis, phomopsis, sclerotinia, and false powdery mildew. Additionally, SUBEO shows tolerance to races of the bird cherry mite from A to G, ensuring reliable protection of crops. Plants tolerate drought well, are not prone to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield retention.
To achieve maximum yield potential, intensive cultivation technology is recommended, including optimal sowing dates and crop rotation. It is also important to ensure spatial isolation from linseed sunflowers at a distance of 200-400 meters. Sowing rate varies depending on soil moisture: 40-45 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, 45-55 thousand under moderate moisture, and 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture. The hybrid is optimized for use with FMC’s herbicide Express®, facilitating weed control.
