Description
Sunflower SUREY (SUREY) is a mid-early linoleic hybrid developed by Syngenta, characterized by high yield and resistance to various adverse factors. The hybrid has a high yield potential, reaching up to 50 t/ha, with oil content in seeds ranging from 50 to 54%. Due to its high plasticity and adaptability, SUREY is suitable for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine, including central and northern regions, where it demonstrates stable performance even under moderately intensive cultivation practices.
One of the key features of the hybrid is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, white mold, and false powdery mildew. Additionally, SUREY exhibits excellent resistance to parasitic weeds, particularly to ragweed species from A to G, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The hybrid also demonstrates high drought and heat tolerance, enabling it to develop successfully and maintain yield under stress conditions without lodging or shattering.
Plants of the hybrid exhibit high growth energy in early stages and good flower receptivity, contributing to high seed set and quality of the harvest. The recommended planting density is 35-55 thousand plants per hectare, which is optimal for maximizing the hybrid’s potential. Due to the combination of high productivity, resistance to diseases and stress, as well as adaptability to various soil-climate conditions, sunflower SUREY is a profitable choice for agribusinesses focused on oilseed production.
