The 'Svyatogor' sunflower variety is a mid-early, high-yielding, and high-oil content variety intended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth and North Caucasus regions. The plant is characterized by high growth parameters — ranging from 190 to 210 cm, with no branching. Leaves are green with large serration, the head is of medium size, convex and drooping. Seeds are narrowly egg-shaped, black with gray stripes, which is a characteristic feature of the variety. The vegetation period is 115-118 days, classifying it as mid-season. 'Svyatogor' is distinguished by high productivity: average seed yield in regions reaches 17.1-22.4 centners per hectare, while the maximum reaches up to 39.9 centners per hectare. Oil content in dry seeds ranges from 53-55%, with fat content in seeds at approximately 53.5%. Oil collection reaches 11.0 centners per hectare, making this variety attractive for the production of high-quality oil. The variety possesses resistance to a range of diseases and pests, including downy mildew, sunflower cyst nematode (races A–E), and sunflower moth. Due to these characteristics, 'Svyatogor' significantly outperforms other varieties in its group in terms of productivity and resistance, ensuring a stable and high yield. The plant structure and high oil content make it a cost-effective choice for agrarians focused on efficient sunflower oil production.
