SX 2154

SX 2154 is a high-yielding hybrid sunflower of medium-early maturity group, intended for conventional cultivation technology. It features stable oil content and high adaptability to growing conditions, enabling successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants reach an average height of about 162 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 15.8 cm. The thousand-seed weight is 75 g, indicating good seed quality.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomosis, and root sclerotinia, as well as to races of Rhizoctonia A-G, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Additionally, SX 2154 demonstrates drought tolerance and tolerance to the herbicide Granstar, withstanding doses up to 50 g/ha, which simplifies weed control and enhances the efficiency of agronomic practices.

The recommended seeding rate depends on soil moisture levels: 45-50 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and up to 55 thousand/ha under adequate moisture. Seeds have high germination energy (97%) and germination rate (98%), with seed moisture content around 7.9%, ensuring good germination and uniform plant development. SX 2154 is suitable for cultivation in various regions, taking into account climatic characteristics and agronomic conditions, making it a versatile choice for farmers and agricultural enterprises.
