SY ARCO

SY ARCO — this is an early-maturing high-oleic sunflower hybrid developed by Syngenta AG for conventional cultivation technology. It is characterized by high yield potential up to 8 tons per hectare and stable yield at 8 points. Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm, and seeds have a black color. The oil content in seeds is 48-50%, and oleic acid content in the oil may reach up to 90% under spatial isolation and favorable weather conditions. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including steppe zones with insufficient moisture. One of the key features of SY ARCO is its high resistance to diseases and stress factors. The hybrid has maximum resistance to rust, as well as high tolerance to Phomopsis (7 points), sclerotinia (8 points), and drought (9 points). Additionally, it is resistant to new strains of downy mildew (Peronospora) from A to F, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. This comprehensive protection allows the hybrid to maintain high productivity even under adverse climatic conditions. The recommended planting density depends on soil moisture level: in areas with sufficient moisture, the optimal rate is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, and in areas with insufficient moisture — 40-45 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to its combination of high drought tolerance, disease resistance, and high technological characteristics, SY ARCO is a profitable choice for agricultural producers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower crop with high oil content.
