Description
The SY Barbati sunflower hybrid is a mid-early linoleic variety with a vegetation period of 106-115 days. It belongs to the extensive adaptability type and is intended for cultivation in arid zones, especially under low agrophone conditions. Plants reach a height of 170-190 cm and demonstrate high growth rates in early development stages, which contributes to stable yield formation. SY Barbati is well-suited for Clearfield technology, enabling effective weed control and increased crop productivity.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew (races A-F), sclerotinia, white mold, and phomopsis. Thanks to this, SY Barbati maintains plant health even under extreme weather conditions and with inadequate care. Seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases in early growth stages.
SY Barbati is recommended for cultivation in steppe zones where water shortage is observed. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture levels: 35-40 thousand plants per hectare under low moisture conditions, and 40-50 thousand plants per hectare under moderate moisture. Oil content in seeds is 48-50%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production. Yield can reach 5 tons per hectare, confirming the high productivity and adaptability of this variety.
