Description
Sunflower seeds SY Caruso are a linoleic mid-ripening hybrid of intensive type, developed using innovative A.I.R.™ cultivation technology. This technology enables effective weed control using herbicides based on imazamox, imazapir, or tribenuron-methyl, contributing to maximum yield and reduced crop protection costs. The hybrid exhibits high genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases, such as froge, phomopsis, false powdery mildew, as well as stem and head sclerotinia, ensuring stable and high-quality yields under various climatic conditions.
SY Caruso has high oil content — from 51 to 53% — making it attractive for oil production. The hybrid features good pollen shedding and resistance to stem lodging, which helps preserve yield and improve its quality. Due to its adaptation to A.I.R. technology and resistance to race A-G of downy mildew, this sunflower is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow areas, and is recommended for the central region of Ukraine.
Recommended sowing rate depends on soil moisture level: at moderate moisture — 45-50 thousand plants per hectare, at sufficient moisture — 50-55 thousand. Sowing is not recommended under insufficient moisture. The package contains 150,000 seeds, ensuring ease of use and planning of sowing operations. SY Caruso is a modern solution for farmers seeking high-quality sunflower yields with minimal risks and costs.
