SY THEOS

SY THEOS — this is a classic mid-season sunflower hybrid, intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Podillia, steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. It is characterized by high yield and elevated oil content in seeds, reaching 51-53%. Plants of this hybrid have medium or high height and well-filled heads, which contributes to efficient yield formation.

The SY THEOS hybrid exhibits high resistance to a broad spectrum of rusts (A-G), including new aggressive forms, and is tolerant to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, phomosis, false powdery mildew, and white rot of heads and stems. Additionally, it demonstrates good drought tolerance and is insensitive to water deficit, allowing successful cultivation even in the hot Black Sea steppe. The hybrid is also resistant to lodging and capable of resisting high weed infestation.

The cultivation technology for SY THEOS is classical, with a recommended seeding rate that varies depending on soil moisture: from 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture to 50-55 thousand under moderate to sufficient moisture. Thanks to its adaptive and agronomic qualities, this hybrid is a reliable source of raw material for oil production, ensuring a stable and high yield under minimal cultivation requirements.
