Terada sunflower hybrid is an early-maturing simple hybrid with a vegetation period of 100 to 105 days. It is characterized by high yield potential reaching up to 59 centners per hectare and high oil content in seeds — up to 52%. Plants reach an average height of 170–185 cm, with a flower head diameter of 18–22 cm and a flat shape with a semi-angled inclination. The hybrid exhibits an intensive growth type and is suitable for cultivation in both well-watered and water-stressed areas, with a recommended plant density at harvest of 55–65 thousand per hectare. Terada has high resistance to diseases, including phomopsis, sclerotinia, phomosis, and downy mildew, as well as genetic resistance to five races of the parasitic weed — downy mildew (A, B, C, D, and E). The hybrid demonstrates high heat tolerance, cold resistance, and adaptability, enabling it to maintain productivity even in drought conditions. Its well-developed root system and high resistance to lodging ensure stable yields and ease of mechanized harvesting. For seed protection, it is recommended to use a contact-systemic fungicide containing thiophanate and difenoconazole, which effectively protects against complex fungal diseases and bacterial infections. This provides reliable protection for plants both externally and internally, promoting healthy development and maximizing the hybrid’s potential.
