When choosing a hybrid for the current season, the adaptability of Mas Seeds' "TFS 3749 B" became the deciding factor for our operation. This French sunflower acts as a reliable workhorse, providing peace of mind regarding disease resistance, provided standard agronomic practices are followed. The plant height of 150–160 cm allows machinery to operate smoothly at all stages of development, and the medium-early maturity period of 90–100 days fits perfectly into the harvest schedule, even when planting is delayed.

Protection and durability in the field

The most convenient aspect of working with this hybrid is its compatibility with the "Clearfield" (Euro-Lightning) system. This technological flexibility makes weed control effortless and efficient. Regarding plant health: throughout the season, we observed excellent resistance to Phomopsis and Phoma. Even during seasons with high humidity, rust did not become a problem, which significantly saves on fungicide budgets.

Harvest economics

Large, heavy seeds with a high oil content (50–55%) consistently yield great results on the scales. This level of oil content ensures stable demand from buyers and a premium market grade. The hybrid is highly predictable in the field: uniform emergence, lack of uneven growth, and full head filling. This is a case where French breeding from Mas Seeds justifies every dollar invested, providing predictable profits without unnecessary stress for the agronomist.
