VK 1-KLP

VK 1-KLP is a mid-early sunflower hybrid developed using Clearfield Plus technology, providing high herbicide resistance and effective weed control. The hybrid is highly adaptable to various natural-climatic conditions, including steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows, making it a versatile choice for cultivation in different regions. The vegetation period is approximately 109 days, enabling a stable yield under moderately intensive conditions.

VK 1-KLP plants form a strong stem reaching about 175 cm in height with large leaves that effectively close rows, and the flower head diameter reaches 24 cm. The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance and a well-developed root system, ensuring resistance to lodging and stress factors. Seeds contain a high oil content — from 48 to 51% — making this sunflower attractive for oilseed industry.

In addition, VK 1-KLP is characterized by high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, black mold, sclerotinia, rust, fomopsis, and alternaria. The hybrid is also resistant to various races of the parasitic weed dodder, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Thanks to these qualities and high energy efficiency in early development, VK 1-KLP demonstrates stable and high productivity even under stressful conditions and dense plantings.
