Zlatibor

Zlatibor hybrid sunflower is a mid-early oilseed hybrid of Serbian origin with a vegetation period of 109-112 days. Plants are characterized by medium height (155 to 165 cm), strong stems, and a robust, branched root system, providing high drought resistance and excellent resistance to lodging. The sunflower head has a thin, convex shape, positioned downward at half a turn, with the apex forming a wide or narrow triangle. A distinctive feature of this variety is its excellent leafiness, as the plant completely covers the soil surface at the beginning of bud formation, promoting efficient resource use and soil protection.

Zlatibor hybrid exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew (resistance to 7+ races), false powdery mildew, rust, sunflower moth, Phomopsis, root and stem rot, as well as leaf and stem spot diseases. Resistance levels to most diseases are rated 9-10, making this hybrid a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in steppe and forest-steppe zones.

Zlatibor sunflower seeds are black, medium-sized, and narrowly egg-shaped with faint gray stripes along the edges. Oil content in the seeds ranges from 46 to 52%, and protein content from 17 to 19%, ensuring high oil yield and nutritional value. The hybrid's potential yield reaches 48-49 ц/ha, with a recommended planting density of 55,000-60,000 plants per hectare. Due to its characteristics and resistance, Zlatibor hybrid is an excellent choice for conventional sunflower cultivation aimed at achieving high and stable oilseed yields.
