ZABAVA is a complex hybrid of sweet corn, developed and patented by Russian scientists. This variety is characterized by high yield: mature grain at 14% moisture yields from 2.42 to 3.24 tons per hectare, while green mass reaches 13.67-18.43 tons per hectare. Corn is characterized by a high degree of kernel filling (94-98%), significant weight of 1000 kernels (172-198 g) and ears (172-224 g), as well as resistance to lodging, drought, and cold, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The maturation period varies from 68 to 120 days depending on the stage of maturity, which allows for flexible harvest planning. The ZABAVA variety is characterized by a high content of nutrients: the grain contains 12.8-13.6% protein, 30.4-34.1% starch, 5.4-5.7% fat, and 14.1-15.3% sugars. This makes it valuable both for food use and for feeding animals. In addition, the hybrid has high resistance to diseases and pests, which ensures crop stability and reduces the need for chemical plant protection. It is important to note that under the name ZABAVA, other products not related to sweet corn are also produced, such as lollipops for horses and sweet popcorn.
