Description
Tulip Golden Oxford is a hybrid variety from the Darwin Hybrid group, distinguished by its bright and elegant flowering. The plant has a tall, upright bluish-green stem, 60-70 cm high, bearing a slowly opening cup-shaped bud of classic form with a diameter up to 10 cm. The petals are dense, wide, and well-formed, colored in a rich yellow-gold hue with even saturation. The flower has a pleasant, noticeable fragrance and retains its attractiveness when cut for up to 10-12 days, making it an excellent choice for decorative flowerbeds and floral arrangements.
The flowering of Golden Oxford tulip begins in the second half of April and lasts about three weeks. For planting bulbs, it is recommended to choose loose, nutrient-rich soils with good drainage. Bulbs should be planted from September to November at a depth of 5-10 cm, with spacing between plants around 15 cm. Care includes regular watering approximately every three days and providing conditions for prolonged cooling of the bulbs, which promotes successful vegetative growth and bulb preservation for subsequent flowering in the garden.
This variety is highly frost-resistant and suitable for both group plantings in flowerbeds and winter forcing. Due to its resilience and decorative qualities, Golden Oxford is an excellent choice for those who appreciate bright, long-lasting flowers in the garden and as cut flowers.
