Cutting Performance and Safety

Each disc carries hardened steel blades that are free-swinging. This mounting design is critical: when a blade strikes an immovable object, it pivots backward instead of transferring the impact energy directly to the gearbox. This simple mechanical safety feature prevents bent shafts and shattered gears. The aerodynamic profile of the discs creates an updraft, ensuring the grass is lifted, cut clean, and deposited neatly into a windrow, which facilitates faster drying.

Frame and Impact Protection

The main frame is constructed from high-strength rectangular steel tubing, designed to absorb the constant vibrations of high-speed mowing. The mounting frame includes a breakaway mechanism. In the event of a significant impact, the spring-loaded latch releases, allowing the mower to swing rearwards. This prevents the tractor linkage from twisting and protects the mower’s main structural integrity. Adjusting the cutting height is handled through the adjustable skid plates, which also serve to prevent the discs from digging into uneven soil.
