GORNYY

The "Gornyy" zucchini variety is an early-maturing, high-yield variety with a vegetative period ranging from 38 to 52 days. The plant is bushy, compact, and has weak branching, which facilitates care and harvest collection. The fruits are cylindrical, light green or white in color, with a smooth surface and slightly ribbed area at the stem. Fruit mass varies from 0.6 to 1 kg; the flesh is white, dense, and tender, possessing excellent taste qualities.

The Gornyy variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 8-10 kg per square meter, and good marketability. It is resistant to major diseases such as powdery mildew and root rot, which enhances cultivation reliability. The zucchini is recommended for use both for fresh consumption and for canning, especially for making zucchini caviar due to its taste qualities.

For successful cultivation of the Gornyy variety, light, fertile soils with low groundwater levels and neutral acidity are preferred. Sowing seeds is conducted at the end of May – beginning of June after the threat of spring frosts, with a distance between pits of at least 60 cm. Cultivation via seedlings is also possible, which are transplanted into open ground at the 2-4 leaf stage. Care includes regular watering, loosening, hilling, and fertilization. Fruits are harvested regularly with an interval of 2-3 days to avoid over-ripening and maintain high fruit quality.
