KASATKA

The Kasatka zucchini variety is a high-yielding early-maturing variety, distinguished by a short maturation period — only 42-45 days from germination to the beginning of fruit harvest. The plants are semi-vining, which facilitates cultivation and care. The yield of the variety is 7-8 kg per square meter, making it attractive to gardeners and farmers aiming to obtain a good volume of produce in a short period.

The fruits of the Kasatka zucchini have a cylindrical shape with a ribbed surface, medium length and size, with each fruit's mass varying from 0.6 to 0.9 kg. The flesh is white, dense, juicy, and tender, providing excellent taste qualities. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is ideal for home cooking, allowing zucchini to be used in various dishes. Moreover, the fruits store and transport well, expanding the possibilities for their use and sale.

The Kasatka variety is distinguished by high resistance to waterlogging and low temperatures, making it resistant to unfavorable weather conditions. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds directly into the open ground, 2-3 per hole, followed by thinning to one plant at the stage of the first true leaf. The seedling method of cultivation is also possible, in which 20-30-day seedlings are transplanted after the threat of frost has passed. Important agrotechnical measures include timely watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing, and regular harvest collection is necessary to stimulate fruiting.
