Adelium is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Tenebrionidae, commonly known as darkling beetles. These insects are part of the Coleoptera order and are widely distributed. While many species are decomposers, some representatives of the Adelium genus can act as pests in agricultural systems, particularly in regions where they interact with specific crops.
