The Alconeura genus comprises small leafhoppers belonging to the family Cicadellidae (order Hemiptera). These insects are recognized as specialized pests that pose a significant threat to various agricultural crops, with a particular affinity for viticulture and certain ornamental plants found in temperate and subtropical climates.
The host range of Alconeura is predominantly focused on vine species. As sap-sucking insects, they feed on the phloem of leaves.
