Amphorophora rossi is a specific species of aphid belonging to the order Hemiptera and the family Aphididae. It is recognized as a significant pest of Rubus species, specifically targeting raspberry and blackberry crops, and is widely studied by agronomists due to its impact on berry production.

The primary hosts for this insect are various cultivars of raspberries. The aphid typically feeds on the undersides of young leaves, tender shoots, and developing flower buds, utilizing its piercing-sucking mouthparts to extract sap, which causes physiological stress to the plant.

The biological cycle of Amphorophora rossi involves overwintering in the egg stage on raspberry canes.
